“Plus or Minus Two Percent” is the story of a quest for truth, and the inadvertent backfiring of that endeavor, which changes the life of an honest and relatively average young man, and traps him in a lifetime of subterfuge.  James Demetrian never imagined that entering the working world as a professional, while pursuing a love interest, would simultaneously place him in a lifelong position of supporting a secret organization whose clandestine international missions would ultimately divulge to him the truth behind complex world events such as the collapse of the World Trade Center towers on 9-11.
Demetrian came from a solid family, had a childhood that instilled virtues of honesty, integrity, and humility, and his personal foundation would lead him to covet a life filled with love and happiness.  He often drew inner strength from his provenance, and in spite of tumultuous events that nearly shattered his resolve, his core beliefs would prove to keep him from succumbing to unimaginable emotional and psychological pressure.
Receiving an engineering degree and moving to Texas from his northern roots was just the beginning of a slow road to inclusion in an unforeseen life of lies and deceit.  Relentlessly trying to ascertain the truth, he entangled himself in a web that eventually captured him and would never let him go.  There was no safe haven, and those that he knew to be his closest friends were collaborators in the organization.  His unwitting trust in them drew him in deeper and deeper until his complicity was without recourse.
No alternatives were available that were not fraught with danger and almost certain death.  Engineering analysis, quantitative skills, diligence, and common sense were not enough to prevent his involvement in a financing scheme for the organization that used standard energy industry practices and associated loopholes to fund their entire operation.
Demetrian eventually acquiesces for his own safety and his family’s, and plans the rest of their existence around his compulsory compliance.  He ultimately learns that his seemingly accidental selection into this subversive situation, may not have been a matter of chance.

Writing today at Jersey Java and Tea in Haddonfield NJ.  Great place to get some focused work done.

Another fine place with a great atmosphere is Saxby's in Haddonfield.  Worked there yesterday, and it was the birthplace of this blog.

After writing my book Plus or Minus Two Percent years ago, and being unsuccessful at getting it published, I shelved the project.  Today I begin a new journey to get it published, and starting this blog is a significant major step.

I look forward to sharing this experience with all those that are interested.  Welcome!
